AWS

Our most common destination at scale.

What it is

Amazon Web Services is the largest cloud provider in the world. EC2 for compute, S3 for storage, RDS for databases, Lambda for functions - and roughly 200 other services. Most enterprise software in 2026 runs on AWS somewhere.

Why we reach for it
  • Mature, battle-tested services - most of the hard infrastructure problems are already solved.
  • Deep regional coverage, including UAE (me-central-1, Bahrain), which matters for data residency.
  • Predictable behaviour at scale. The bill is high but the surprises are low.
  • Rich ecosystem of tooling (Terraform modules, monitoring integrations, community runbooks).
  • Most of our platform engineering engagements end up here or spend significant time here.
When we don’t
  • -When the team is 3 engineers and the product is 2 months old - AWS is overkill. Fly.io, Railway, or Vercel will get you further faster.
  • -When the workload is data-heavy analytics - Google Cloud usually wins on that axis.
  • -When your organisation already lives in the Microsoft ecosystem - don't add a third cloud just because AWS is the default.
Where it shows up

Engagements where AWS typically lands.

Note: 3Tech is not a AWS partner. We use the AWS mark on this page to identify the product we build on, not to imply an endorsement or partnership that does not exist. If you need a named-tier partner for commercial reasons, we can point you at teams who hold one.
